The MCG and Carlton will open a dedicated entry at Gate 3B (to the left of gate 3 opposite Club Hub) for patrons who require additional assistance to enter the stadium on Saturday for Round 15 Carlton v North Melbourne at the MCG.
This trial will see the gate open from 11.30am to early in the first quarter for patrons with disability (including hidden disability), those with sensory needs, or simply those who require additional help and support to enter the ground comfortably.
Features of this gate will include:
- Handheld ticket scanning.
- No overhead announcements or flashing signs.
- Additional support from trained MCG staff and security, including staff who can interpret Auslan
- Close proximity to the Sensory Friendly Space and Changing Places bathroom.
- Optional support from trained wellbeing dogs
Staff will be able to assist patrons with the security entry process at the gate.
