From childhood Blue to a Blue herself, Bohanna is the sixth Blue to reach 50 AFLW games.
Working hard for her spot in the AFLW - from a VFLW list to captaining the Suns for three seasons - Bohanna has given everything to reach this milestone.
From a background of basketball, Bohanna made her way into the footy world quickly moving her way up the ladder. She started her journey in the VFLW from 2019-2021 playing for the Southern Saints. In her third VFLW season she won the club best and fairest, as well as being the league's third highest goal kicker, landing her at the Gold Coast Suns.
Signing on with the Suns in 2022 as an injury replacement she quickly established herself as a key forward, becoming the Suns highest scoring goal kicker that year with an impressive 13 goals in 10 games, which earnt her an All-Australian squad nomination in her first season.
"I came in as an injury replacement, you just want to play a game," Bohanna said.
Bohanna's hard work and determination has paid off, from coming into the AFLW as an injury replacement to now one of the most valuable forwards.
Arriving to Carlton as pick No.41, Bohanna quickly established herself as a Blue, now a part of Carlton's leadership team.
Currently one of Carlton's leading goal kickers, she continues to grow and perform as a player.
"To get to 50, it takes a while in the women's game, but for it to be in a Carlton jersey, I probably didn't ever think that was going to happen and it's pretty special that it does get to be that," she said.
"Obviously I haven't got to play as many games here, but it doesn't feel like that. It feels like it'll be just as special, to wear the Carlton jersey."
Watch Bohanna play her 50th game this Sunday in Geelong at GMHBA Stadium from 3:05pm (AEST).
