CARLTON has made a trio of changes for Saturday’s trip west to take on Fremantle.
With a former Docker returning to take on his old side, the Blues have also turned to a youthful pair for Saturday night’s clash at Optus Stadium.
In the absence of Marc Pittonet (hand), Liam Reidy will play his second game in Navy Blue, in what will be his first match since featuring in Opening Round against Sydney.
Reidy will renew acquaintances with former teammate Luke Jackson in the ruck battle, having played three games for Fremantle over the course of 2024 and 2025.
The Blues will be able to call on the services of Cooper Lord for the first time since the bye, with the classy midfielder putting together a best-on-ground performance for the Carlton Reserves last week in his return from illness.
Lord put together an excellent individual performance the last time these two sides met in Round 21 last year, playing against Fremantle gun Caleb Serong in a tagging role.
Rounding out the inclusions is Ashton Moir, who also returns for his first game since the season opener against Sydney.
The Blues have opted for a smaller forward line in the absence of Harry McKay (concussion), with Moir to join the likes of Will Hayward, Brodie Kemp and Mitch McGovern as mobile options in Carlton’s front half.
Saturday night’s game kicks off from 8:15pm at Optus Stadium.
