Carlton VFLW is pleased to confirm its leadership group ahead of the 2026 season.
Grace Matser and Steph Demeo will co-captain the Blues in 2026, supported by Octavia Di Donato, Chloe Rafferty, Emma Horne and Emily Elkington in the wider leadership group.
Matser brings a wealth of experience, with more than 50 VFLW games across multiple clubs, as well as bringing AFLW experience to the side, spending a season with North Melbourne, the reigning back-to back premiers, in 2022.
Demeo, a key part of the leadership group in 2025, has been elevated to co-captain. A natural leader with clean skills, strong hands and sound decision-making, she is known to set the standard on game day and at training.
Together, Matser and Demeo provide a calm, composed presence and lead from the front through their work ethic, professionalism and consistent commitment to Club values.
Horne adds strong VFLW experience, having played more than 50 games. She drives standards on and off the field with her hard work and elite athleticism.
Elkington, new addition to the group, is renowned for her team-first mindset, helping to drive strong culture and energy across the program.
Di Donato remains a key figure for Carlton, providing consistent effort around the contest and strong defensive pressure, while setting the tone with her competitiveness and selfless attitude.
Rafferty adds a unique perspective as a former high-level cricketer, bringing an understanding of what it takes to compete at the top level. She is highly regarded across the program and exemplifies professionalism.
Matser and Demeo, alongside the wider leadership group, are excited to lead the Blues in 2026.
