Jack Silvagni will remain Bound By Blue after re-signing for a further two years with the Carlton Football Club.

Silvagni’s new deal will see him run out in the Navy Blue until at least the end of the 2021 season.

The 21-year-old has kicked 45 goals in 59 games since being taken with pick No.53 in the 2015 NAB AFL draft.

Silvagni has become renowned by the Carlton faithful for his hard work, endeavour and passion every time he steps on the ground, earning praise for his relentless pressure, tackling ability and desire to impact the contest.

He is having a career-best season to date, averaging 14 disposals, 4.6 marks (above AFL average), four tackles (above AFL average) and nearly a goal a game across his 16 appearances playing as a half forward and running through the midfield.

Silvagni said he was thrilled to continue living out his childhood dream and have the opportunity to achieve success with the current group.

“It is special to play for this football club, I’m excited to re-sign and repay the faith shown in me,” Silvagni said.

“The group here is showing signs that the hard work is paying off and we are on the right track to take this club forward, I really do believe that.

“I look forward to working as hard as I can to help this group achieve the success.”

Carlton Football Club List Manager Michael Agresta said the signature of Silvagni is a great sign of his faith in the Club’s direction.

“Jack has put in a mountain of hard work over the last four years, his development has continued to impress us and this year he has once again taken another step forward,” Agresta said.

“His versatility has become a feature of his game and a real asset for us. We are really looking forward to seeing Jack continue to develop over the next two years.”
