RUN IT back.

A Carlton on-ball trio has continued their respective standout form lines in the AFL Coaches’ Association Player of the Year voting.

For the third consecutive week, it was no surprise to see Carlton captain Patrick Cripps highlighted as the best player on the ground.

Cripps led brilliantly in the Blues’ third straight win, putting together an incredible last quarter which also yielded the match-winning goal on a memorable night for the football club.

Another 10-vote performance has seen Cripps poll 29 of a maximum 30 votes since the victory over the Western Bulldogs, putting him on the cusp of the AFLCA top 10.

Not to be outdone, Jagga Smith also received votes for the third straight week, receiving the second most votes on the ground with a seven-vote performance.

Smith was so prolific in the first half that the Cats sent Oisin Mullin to the young Blue, who - in just his 12th game - recorded 27 disposals, six clearances and a crucial goal assist for Brodie Kemp in the final term.

Rounding out the trio was Sam Walsh, who has now polled coaches’ votes in eight of his 12 games: comfortably the most of any Blue.

Walsh received four votes for his 30-disposal showing, on a night where the Carlton midfield well and truly got on top.

Will Hayward finished things off for the Blues with a solitary vote, continuing his outstanding run of form with three goals playing increased time on the wing.
