Carlton midfielder Aisling Reidy has been selected to represent Ireland in Saturday's AFLW Australia v Ireland match, joining fellow teammates Erone Fitzpatrick and Dayna Finn, who were also named in the Ireland team.
Reidy arrived at IKON Park ahead of the 2025 season after being scouted in her hometown of County Clare, where she played Gaelic for Doora-Barefield alongside childhood best friend and fellow Blue Síofra O'Connell.
In just her first season of AFLW football, the 25-year-old made a positive impression on debut in Round 5 against the Gold Coast Suns, racking up 12 disposals and five tackles in Carlton's 46-point win at IKON Park last season.
Her selection is a great achievement and testament to the pace, endurance and fierce determination she has brought to Carlton since arriving last year.
The AFLW Australia v Ireland match takes place this Saturday August 1, kicking off at 4:15pm in Sydney.
