A KEY figure in the AFLW competition will play her 75th game on Sunday.
An inaugural Demon, three-season Tiger and now beloved Blue, Harriet Cordner will reach her milestone when the Blues host the Crows in their first home game of 2026.
Making her debut on that incredible first weekend of AFLW football back in Round 1 of 2017, Cordner has established herself as one of the standout defenders in the competition, particularly during her time in Navy Blue.
Initially taken as a Category B rookie, Cordner played 25 games for the Demons up until 2020, a club where she shared a significant family connection as she followed in the footsteps of grandfather Don Cordner - a Brownlow medallist with Melbourne in 1946.
She then moved across to Richmond, making the All-Australian squad in 2021, before an untimely ACL injury in January 2022 saw her miss two straight seasons when the competition moved to an August start date.
A trade heading into the 2023 campaign saw Cordner make an immediate impression at Carlton, playing 37 straight games since her debut.
A leader of the football club on the field and a champion of its causes off the field, Cordner is a first-class character who last year was named an All Australian for the first time.
