The Carlton Football Club has today farewelled development coach Torin Baker, who has been appointed VFL senior coach of the Williamstown Football Club.
Arriving at IKON Park at the end of 2020, Baker led the Carlton College of Sport’s football development program, while also being a development coach with the AFL group and working as a line coach with the Blues' reserves side.
“I am incredibly grateful for my time at the Carlton Football Club and will always cherish the friendships I have built over the past six years,” Baker said.
“The opportunity to work with fantastic people and quality professionals throughout the AFL and VFL programs was an experience I will always be grateful for.”
Baker now returns to a senior coaching role with the Seagulls, having previously been coach of the Western Jets for six years.
Carlton General Manager of Football Chris Davies congratulated Baker on his appointment.
“We are really pleased for Torin to have earned this opportunity to be a senior coach with Williamstown,” Davies said.
“Torin was dedicated and passionate about the development pathway, and provided great commitment to our program during his time at the Club, both at AFL and VFL level. We wish him all the best at Williamstown and thank him for his service to the Blues.”
