Named as emergency for the Blues’ last seven games, Baxter was informed in the lead-up to the clash with the Giants that the wait is over.

Wearing the Navy Blue No.8, Baxter was recruited from South Adelaide in the SANFLW and previously represented South Australia, where she was a teammate of now locker buddy, Poppy Scholz.

An energy giver to the whole playing group, Baxter is just as comfortable playing across half-back and on the wing. She played five games for Carlton’s VFLW side in 2026, including an elimination final.

The Blues will announce their final team at 5pm on Friday.
