KERRYN Harrington’s outstanding form in 2019 has continued with acknowledgement of her performance from the coaches.

Harrington polled eight votes in the narrow loss to Geelong in the AFLW Champion Player of the Year award, taking home equal best-on-ground honours alongside Geelong’s Maddy McMahon.

It was the third consecutive game which the defender polled in, having registered three votes against GWS (Round 3) and four votes against Adelaide (Round 2).

Undoubtedly in career-best form, Harrington collected 18 disposals as well as seven rebound 50s — more than anyone else managed in the whole competition on the weekend.

Harrington has now moved up to 15 votes, equal with Madison Prespakis as Carlton’s best.

She was joined in the votes by captain Brianna Davey, whose willing performance in midfield garnered four votes.

Davey, who played a number of roles, drew praise from coach Daniel Harford for her ability to change the game and inspire her teammates back into the contest. She had 17 disposals and four clearances in the loss.

Carlton will look to return to the winners list when it hosts Collingwood this Saturday night at Ikon Park from 7:10pm. The game has been brought forward by five minutes.
