Carlton players have held a final training session at Visy Park ahead of Saturday’s clash with the Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

It comes after news of a major blow on the injury front.

Simon White has suffered a fractured vertebrae in his neck and will miss the rest of the season.

Jarrad Waite has also been ruled out of Saturday's match, as he battles to overcome a knee injury

It leaves the Blues match committee with some tough decisions to make at the selection table.

A number of players, including Mitch Robinson and Nick Graham, pushed their case for selection with stand-out performances in the VFL

Meanwhile, the Blues expect the Suns to be full of confidence, after their upset win over Collingwood.

Gold Coast Skipper Gary Ablett gathered a massive 49 disposals in that match.

But Carlton coach Mick Malthouse says Ablett can’t be the Blues’ sole focus, but the Suns have a number of quality players.
