THE Carlton Football Club is proud to announce $12,420.05 has been donated to LGBTIQ youth charity Minus18 from the auction of the Club’s AFLW Pride guernseys.

Minus18 creates social change and mobilises community support through their identify-affirming youth-driven events, workshops, education resources and campaigns nationwide.

The guernsey was designed by childhood Carlton supporter Alex Bajada and features the traditional Navy Blue guernsey combined with the LBGTIQ colours on both the front and back.

All proceeds from the player-issued AFLW Pride guernsey auction went to Minus18, the champions for LGBTIQ youth in Australia.

Minus18 Marketing Coordinator Reb Mary said she was thankful to all those who bid on the guernseys.

“Firstly, what an effort from everyone involved in the auction, it’s a great show of support to the LBGTIQ community and from all of us at Minus18 we thank you,” Mary said.

“This donation gives us the chance to host events in the LBGTIQ youth community such as our queer formal, giving youth all over Australia the chance to come and bring who they want and just be themselves.

“This will help us continue to make events such as the queer formal free of charge.”
