It was a day where we saw an upset of epic proportions - and we’re not talking about the state election that day, either. 

20 years ago, Carlton produced the upset to beat all upsets when it denied the mob from Windy Hill by a point. 

There were moments to talk about for years to come. It was as sweet as any of the 16 Grand Final wins for the Navy Blues. 

Led by their Senior Coach of the Century, there was a heavyweight battle at one end of the ground. There was the greatest ever quarter played by anyone, ever. There was the goal that broke Essendon hearts.
