Carlton young gun Jack Silvagni remains a chance to take on Collingwood on Saturday, after scans cleared him of structural damage to his shoulder.

Silvagni sustained a shoulder injury in the second quarter of the Blues’ 19-point victory against Sydney that sidelined him for the remainder of the game.

Head of Football Andrew McKay said Silvagni would still face fitness tests to determine his availability for Saturday’s game.

"Jack Silvagni copped a knock to his right shoulder in a bumping contest on the weekend (against Sydney). There’s been no structural damage, which is fantastic,” McKay said.

“Obviously he’s very sore and he’ll be a test at the end of the week so hopefully he’ll get up but we’ll just have to wait and see."

Meanwhile, McKay said Jacob Weitering was likely to be available to face the Pies at the MCG on Saturday afternoon.

“Jacob sustained a cork to the quad on the weekend – he’s likely to play but he will still be a test at the end of the week too,” he said.

Eighteen-year-old Zac Fisher is unlikely to take to the field on Saturday, after the speedster sustained a knock to the back of his hamstring.

“Zac had a knock to the back of the leg which slowed him down a bit throughout the game. He will also be a test at the end of the week, but it is more likely he will miss at least a week but we will have to wait and see towards the back end of the week,” McKay said.

Liam Sumner, Ciaran Sheehan and Matthew Korcheck will also face fitness tests this week as they make their return to the Northern Blues’ line-up.

“Liam Sumner has been out for quite some time with that hamstring niggle, but he’s a test this week. Matthew Korcheck hurt his shoulder a couple of weeks ago, but he’s progressing along really nicely and he will test this week. We’re expecting him to play given his parents have flown over to watch him too.

“Ciaran Sheehan has been out with a medial ligament for a few weeks now, but he’s been training solidly so he’ll be a test and we expect him to be available for Northern Blues.”
