Carlton’s women’s team has taken to the track at its inaugural pre-season training session on Wednesday night at Ikon Park.
Led by senior coach Damien Keeping, the 27-woman squad saw its elite training facilities for the first time with a pre-training address in the locker room from Carlton three-time premiership coach David Parkin.
After running out to a thunderous cheer from a number of supporters in the stands, the squad ran through a number of drills and football skills.
The inaugural AFL Women’s competition will kick off in February, with the fixture to be released in the coming weeks.
