On Friday evening, one of Carlton’s finest will be honoured with the Club’s highest individual accolade – the 2016 John Nicholls Medal at Crown Palladium.

This year, a new round-by-round voting system has been implemented which will determine the winner of the prestigious award.

Here are the details:

Four coaches (senior coach and three line coaches) have the opportunity to vote for as many players as they feel warrant a vote for each game on the following scale:

4 votes – outstanding performance

3 votes – excellent performance

2 votes – above expectation performance

1 vote – expected performance (trademark game)

A player therefore can receive a maximum of four votes from four coaches giving a maximum of 16 possible votes each round.

If you can’t make it to Crown Palladium this evening, stay tuned to the live stream via carltonfc.com.au as we count down to honour Carlton’s 2016 John Nicholls Medallist.
