The Blues will make a return to play at the hallowed ground of Ikon Park in early March following the AFL’s announcement of the new pre-season competition on Wednesday morning.

The 2017 JLT Community Series will kick off in mid-February, and the Blues’ first pre-season hitout will be against Melbourne at Casey Fields on Saturday February 25.

The full fixture for the 2017 JLT Community Series will see all 18 teams play three matches across a four-week stretch between February 16 to March 12.

Football will return to Ikon Park when Carlton faces St Kilda on Saturday March 4. Blues fans will be expected to pack out the historic grandstands at Ikon Park like the old days, with exclusive merchandise and membership offers set to be available on the day.

In the final pre-season clash, the Blues will head west to face Fremantle in a Friday night hitout at Domain Stadium on March 10.
