AFTER their 34-point win against Richmond on Friday night, it’s no surprise that three Blues were picked as the best in the AFLW Team of the Week.

AFLW MVP nominee Madison Prespakis was an obvious choice, scoring a perfect 10 in the coaches' votes. She backed that up by being named in the midfield alongside the likes of Ellie Blackburn and Jaimee Lambert.

Dominant ruck Breann Moody joined Prespakis in the midfield, with the former best-and-fairest winner acknowledged for her 17-hitout performance on Friday night.

Gun forward Tayla Harris rounded out the Carlton trifecta: with her one goal, 13 disposals and six marks made her a pivotal part of Carlton’s superior forward line in the season opener.

All three players earned votes in the AFLW Coaches Player of the Year Award count, alongside Grace Egan, Charlotte Wilson and Katie Loynes.
