Senior Coach David Teague has sung the praise of the loyal Navy Blue support who have rallied behind the Club as the impact of COVID-19 is felt across the competition.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, Teague said one particular of a member who had gone above and beyond stood out.

“They’ve been outstanding. We’ve been lucky,” Teague said.

“I know since Round 1 and the games being cancelled, I think we’ve had over 500 memberships sold.

“We even had a guy yesterday who offered to donate $2000 for members that are struggling to pay their memberships. He wants them to keep their memberships.”

Some of the things that they’ve done recently show how great this club is.

With a record number of members signing up prior to the start of the 2020 season, Teague is well aware that the team has a job to do to repay the commitment and faith shown by the loyal Bluebaggers all around the country.

While away from the club during this period, Teague reassured that the AFL playing group are upholding the high standards they set during the pre-season and are itching to go once the season resumes.

“We’re professionals, we want to put on a good product particularly for our members and our supporters,” he said.
