Carlton fans will be hoping for some good news on the injury front this week, with several players pushing to return for Monday night's clash with St Kilda.

The Blues will name their 25-man squad this evening.

Carlton's Football Operations Manager Andrew McKay says both Andrew Carrazzo and Jarrad Waite are a chance to return from back injuries after being late withdrawals against the Magpies.

"We wanted to give him (Carrazzo) every chance and he didn't quite come up, but certainly looking a lot more positive this week," McKay told CFC TV.

"Similar with Jarrad Waite – he had a spasm during last week and we thought he'd be fine to be honest, but again it was too stiff."

Meanwhile Chris Yarran will be looking to return after spending a week on the sidelines – he left the ground with a tight hamstring during the Round 6 win over West Coast.

McKay says David Ellard is another in the mix for selection.

"We thought given his (Ellard's) history we wouldn't risk him, but he's done the full training this week and he will be putting his name forward," McKay said.

Meanwhile McKay says Chris Judd and Ed Curnow are progressing well in their recovery and look set to return after the bye.

Curnow is off crutches after suffering a fractured fibula against the Bulldogs, while Judd is back running after injuring his hamstring.
