Carlton’s Lachie Henderson has suffered a setback which will restrict his training for the next two weeks.

Henderson has been experiencing tightness in his left leg, and will have a procedure to release his iliotibial band (ITB), the ligament that runs from the hip to the knee.

Carlton GM – Football Operations Andrew McKay says it’s minor surgery and Henderson will be back training in a fortnight.

“Lachie has been aggravated by tightness in his leg for the past week so we thought it’s best that he have the procedure now,” McKay said.

“Lachie will be back running again in 10 days, so while this is a minor disruption to his pre-season, he will be ready to go for Round 1.”
