TWO Blues have been recognised for their performances in Thursday night’s clash with St Kilda.

On an otherwise disappointing night for Carlton, supporters watching from home would have been buoyed by the performances of Liam Jones and Jack Martin.

Both players were awarded two coaches’ votes each for their efforts in the 18-point defeat.

Up against the dangerous Tim Membrey, Jones kept his direct opponent to just one goal while taking 11 marks.

Of those 11, seven were recorded as intercept marks — the most of anyone in a single game this season.

Joining him in the votes was Martin, who again showcased himself as Carlton’s most dynamic threat.

Playing in the midfield and up forward, Martin collected 19 disposals (at 89.5 per cent efficiency), kicked a goal and had eight score involvements.

It was the second game Martin has polled in this year, after his four-goal haul in his Navy Blue debut back in Round 1.
