LOCKETT, Franklin, Betts.

That could be the exclusive company that Carlton's No.19 finds himself in should he hit the scoreboard in a meaningful way tomorrow.

Eddie Betts will enter tomorrow's clash with Port Adelaide on 299 goals, one shy of the triple century in Navy Blue.

Currently placed 13th in Carlton's history books for most goals kicked, Betts would join two of the game's greatest ever goalkickers in an exclusive club: kicking 300 goals for two different clubs.

The most prolific goalscorer in the history of the game, Lockett kicked 1,360 goals all up: 898 for St Kilda and and 462 for Sydney. He was later joined by Franklin, who currently has 364 goals for the Swans after 580 with the Hawks.

Betts kicked 290 goals for Carlton since his debut in 2005, having added a further nine goals in five games since his homecoming this year: he kicked 310 goals in his time at Adelaide Oval.

With his bag of four last week, Betts surpassed Michael Roach's tally to rise to 32nd for all-time goals kicked in VFL/AFL history.
