For Carlton senior coach Brett Ratten it’s a welcome poser, with as many as four senior players in the mix for Sunday’s crucial twilight match at Etihad Stadium.
Will it be Jarrad Waite for game No.150? The seasoned key forward has not played senior football since succumbing to a back complaint in the 7th round match against St Kilda at the same venue. He resumed last week for the Northern Blues in the VFL and his performance indicated to supporters that he is ready to return to the AFL. But has he convinced the match committee and trained well this week?
Will it be Andrew Walker, whose calf injury has kept him out of the game since the 16th round match against North?
Will it be Mitch Robinson, a late withdrawal for the 17th round match against the Western bulldogs with a calf injury?
Or will it be Kade Simpson, whose jaw was broken in that much-publicised Round 15 collision for which a Collingwood player copped a three-match ban. Coach Brett Ratten said Simpson had been given the all-clear to resume by his specialist earlier this week but does that mean he is ready?
Well Carlton supporters, stay tuned!
All will be revealed at on the Carlton website at 6:25pm when the team is announced, together with the CFC TV team selection interview with Andrew McKay.
