An eventful day at the Carlton Football Club was added to late this afternoon when scans revealed Brendan Fevola has strained his thigh and is likely to be missing for the next three matches. Fevola injured the thigh during the game against Brisbane at the Gabba and played the game out. Also set to miss this week’s game against St Kilda is exciting young midfielder Andrew Walker who injured his shoulder during the game against Brisbane. Walker recently missed one match with an injured shoulder however this latest injury is not related and is on the other shoulder.

 

Fevola and Walker join Adam Hartlett and Joe Anderson who are both out with hamstring injuries. Hartlett is due to miss a further one or two weeks while Anderson is expected to miss another two to three matches.

 

In positive news today Lance Whitnall completed a solid running session and he is expected to commence full training next week and likely to return in round 18 or 19. Other players missing with injury are the three players who are out for the remainder of the season; Nick Stevens, Cameron Cloke and Aisake O’hAilpin.
