THE Carlton Football Club today welcomes McDonald’s Australia as an Official Partner of both the Blues’ AFL and AFLW team.

The three-year partnership will see Macca’s support the Club’s digital channels as a partner for several competitions and digital campaigns, such as the Maccas Drive Thru offer that was launched on Instagram earlier this week.

As Official Partner of the AFLW, McDonald’s will also present the Blues’ AFLW team selection next season.

Carlton CEO Cain Liddle said the Club and McDonald’s would look to promote the innovative ways the Blues faithful can interact with their team.

“To have McDonald’s on board, partnering a number of our digital initiatives, will help to continue to build a close connection between our members and supporters,” Liddle said.

“This season has shown more than ever the importance of digital content and the role it plays in keeping our passionate Carlton family informed and engaged.

“As a Club, we’re proud to partner with McDonald’s and their support gives us an opportunity to grow in this space over the next three years.”

In 2021 McDonald’s will also be bringing back kick-to-kick on the ground, so all Bluebaggers should make sure they bring their footy with them to all eligible games next year.

McDonald’s Australia Market Director – Southern Region, Brad McMullen, added “We’re proud to play an active role in communities across Australia, and to be continuing our support of AFL and AFLW through this new partnership with Carlton Football Club.

“We hope together with the Club, we can help keep fans connected with the Blues’ teams and get more Aussies participating in – and enjoying – this great game,” concluded McMullen.

McDonald's is committed to supporting the sport, with nine club partnerships, as well as their industry partnership with the AFL.
