AFTER a nine-day break, Carlton is ready and primed to face Collingwood on Sunday afternoon.

With both teams contending for a finals spot, the game has plenty on the line between the two old rivals.

Senior Coach David Teague believes his side are ready to take on the game and play it their way.

“It’s another game, it’s an important game but it’s a game we’ve prepared well for so we’re looking forward to the challenge,” Teague said.

“We want to be strong in the contest and to win it and get the game played in our half. I’ve got no doubt they’ll want to do the same so we’ll focus on what we can control.”

Teague is happy that there is such depth for selection potential, but acknowledges that the current side is likely to be rewarded for their current form.

“We’ve got quite a few guys at the moment who are in really good form in our reserves games as well so we’re lucky in that sense with competition for spots,” he said.

“But the team that’s been playing has been getting the job done so we need to reward the guys that are doing their roles.”

Teague also acknowledged the support from the fanbase has given the Club ahead of a key fixture on the calendar for all Bluebaggers.

“I understand the fans have been through a lot, they’ve really supported us, we’ve loved the way they’ve got behind us,” he said.

“We go out there each week to put on a show for them and to play the way we want to play and to get the result that they deserve.

“Our fans have been outstanding and hopefully we’ll excite them again and we’ll play a brand they’re really proud of.”
