Proudly presented by Big Ant Studios, Carlton’s 2021 AFLW Best and Fairest will be an extra special occasion, with family, friends and the Blues faithful coming together to not only honour the Club’s 2021 award winners, but to acknowledge last season’s winners as well.
Held at Crown Aviary on Friday 23 April, the evening will include an address from Senior Coach Daniel Harford and will provide guests the chance to relive and celebrate the fifth AFLW season as a host of awards are presented throughout the night.
Taking out the top honour in both 2019 and 2020, reigning club and League Best and Fairest winner Madison Prespakis will be looking to finish on top of the podium once again, after another dominant season in the Navy Blue.
However, with a breakout 2021 season that saw Abbie McKay receive a NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star nomination for her performance in Round 3, the father-daughter recruit is sure to challenge her midfield counterpart.
Inaugural Game Changer and crowd favourite Darcy Vescio is also well-placed to contest the Club’s highest individual honour, having earned praise across the competition, being back at her best throughout her fifth year at the Club.
With consistent performances across the season, co-captain Kerryn Harrington and defender Nicola Stevens are also set to finish strongly in the 2021 vote count.
