YOUNG star Sam Walsh has been named in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award votes for Round 7.
 
Walsh received four votes for his efforts through the midfield on Saturday afternoon, his consistency in 2021 evident in his performance against the Power.

Notching 29 possessions (13 contested), eight clearances, six tackles and a goal for the Blues, the hard-running midfielder continued his impressive run of form.
 
Walsh has polled in four of the five games played so far this season, making him the Blues’ frontrunner in the race.
 
After Round 5,  Walsh sits at No.18 on the AFLCA leader board with 17 votes.
