The 2020 season marked the breakthrough year for Tom De Koning, who overturned two-and-a-half years of injury frustration for an extended stint in the AFL line-up. The heir apparent to Matthew Kreuzer, the man nicknamed ‘The King’ played seven of the last eight games in the home-and-away season, impressing the AFL world with his athleticism and follow-up work around the contest. Having recommitted to Carlton until at least the end of 2023, the sky really does seem the limit for the high-flying ruckman.
