Starting his AFL career at Geelong and then Port Adelaide, the Brunswick boy returned close to home when - after initially being signed to the Carlton Reserves - an impressive pre-season saw Evans signed in the supplemental selection period.
Making his Carlton debut in Round 1, 2025, Evans didn’t stop backing himself in, with a four-goal cameo against Gold Coast (and comparisons on commentary to Darren Jarman) seeing him emerge as a genuine new cult hero on Royal Parade.
