THE CARLTON Football Club can confirm defender Charlotte Wilson has been traded to Melbourne for Victorian pick No.23 (National second-round selection pick No.42) in the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Draft.

Wilson played 22 games for the Club over four seasons after being selected with Pick No.27 in the 2018 NAB AFL Women’s Draft.

Most of those appearances in Navy Blue came in the first three years, with Wilson managing the three games in Season 6.

Carlton General Manager of Women’s Football Brett Munro says the Club’s defensive stocks remain strong despite Wilson’s departure.

“While we certainly didn’t want to lose Charlotte, we respect her decision to explore her options with another Club,” Munro said.

“It is disappointing considering our significant investment in her development, but we have a solid defensive line up led by skipper Kerryn Peterson that will hold us in good stead for the upcoming season.”
