I am very excited to tell you that I'm not the only Carlton supporter in South Australia.  Mummy and I drove down to Adelaide on Sunday to the Rob Roy Hotel so that we could watch Carlton take on Fremantle on the big screen, along with other like-minded Carlton supporters.  We had a great time!  I wore my number 5 Juddy jumper for the day and most of the others in the room had at least some Carlton clothes on too.

Our players didn't look too good in yellow, I thought (Mummy told me it was for a very very good cause), and in the first quarter it seemed like the Carlton players agreed with me.  We were very bad, and when Houlihan missed an easy shot at goal and we were down 38 to 8, I whispered to Mummy "this is the worst game of my life".  Not long after that, Judd missed an even easier goal than Houlihan's, and we were not looking anywhere near like winning.  But in the second quarter we started to play better, with some goals for me to really cheer loudly at.  We loved T-Bird's beauty pass to Fev for a goal, and Bryce Gibbs' fantastic goal, and then Setanta's goal too!  At half time the score was 61 to 50, and I was starting to lose my voice already.

In the third quarter we did alright again, but not as good Freo - they got an extra goal than us to be ahead 86 to 68, even though we had TEN more scoring shots than them!  There were some other Carlton kids there - new ones for me to meet.  I had my photo taken with them - it was amazing that we all have footy jumpers with Chris Judd's number 5 on the back, but the two girls didn't bring their jumpers to this match.  I taught them all how to cheer really loudly.

The last quarter was when it really became exciting......Fev got a goal, and then Carrazzo, and then Gibbs kicked one to put us in front for the very first time!  Our room was very, VERY noisy then and Mummy and I hugged each other and gave high fives.

Fremantle got a goal back soon after to put them back in front.  Then as the ball was sort of near Juddy, Mum called out "Come on, Judd - DO something!" and what do you know, he DID!!  He laid a great tackle, got the ball to Murphy, who handballed to Eddie, who handballed it to Kreuzer who kicked a goal!  Phew.  Carlton pulled away after that and finally played properly and much better than Fremantle.  Every goal the Blues got made me and all the other people in our room get louder and louder!  It was great fun, and we won in the end by 15 points.

When the TV showed the Carlton boys singing the theme song in the rooms after the match, we all joined in.  It was so loud where we were, and I reckon I might've been one of the loudest singers of all!  I was very happy that it didn't turn out to be the worst match of my life.

And now I'm excited because next Saturday morning we are flying over to Melbourne to see the Blues play against the Tigers, and we'll be staying for a whole week and will also see them take on the Swans!

Da da da da da........

Until then, keep on cheering!

From Jesse.
