THE CARLTON Reserves have confirmed their team for the VFL curtain raiser at the SCG against Sydney, with a much-welcomed return for an AFL-listed defender.
Playing his first game for the 2025 campaign, Alex Cincotta will be back in action for the VFL Blues as one of three changes to the team which prevailed over Sandringham last week.
Adding some defensive steel and trademark run to the Blues’ line-up, it will be Cincotta’s first game following the pre-season hip surgery which detailed his start to 2025.
He is joined as an inclusion by the versatile Dane Harvey, with the key position tall to feature in his fourth game for the season.
Rounding out the additions is Taj Logan, the former Northern Knights captain who will make his VFL debut for the Blues after signing with the Carlton Reserves over the off-season.
Logan’s inclusion makes it a youthful contingent for the VFL Blues, joining second-gamers Stirling Phipps-Parsons and Matt Duffy as well as AFL draftees Ben Camporeale, Harry Charleson and. Harry O’Farrell.
Lucas Camporeale won’t feature due to AFL emergency commitments, but Hudson O’Keeffe - who will likely get more time in the ruck due to Marc Pittonet’s AFL selection - and Sam Docherty have both been named.
