Regarded for his consistency, he then backed up that performance the following week with an outstanding 29 disposals, eight tackles and a crucial last-quarter goal against Geelong.

Since his arrival at IKON Park, Hewett has been a model of consistency, with an incredible work ethic and focus. Ever the humble player, Hewett is a favourite amongst the playing group, celebrated internally for his quiet determination and dedication to his craft.

Clean in the contest, Hewett is currently ranked sixth in the league for effective disposals per game and in the top 10 for total clearances, stoppage clearances per game and contested possessions per game. His defensive efforts have also played a crucial role across the season, ranking equal first for tackles alongside Patrick Cripps, whilst also ranking No.1 in disposals, handballs and goal assists at the Blues.

Carlton’s Head of List Management Nick Austin said securing Hewett's future at the Blues is a positive outcome for the Club.
