CARLTON has named its extended squad of 26 leading into Sunday’s King’s Birthday Eve clash with arch rival Essendon.

Including the extended eight-man interchange, the Blues have named five potential inclusions, including the possible returns of Jack Silvagni and Zac Williams in the squad.

Speaking to media on Thursday morning, AFL Senior Coach Michael Voss said the duo were in line to return after respective groin and calf injuries.

“They have to get through training, that’s the ultimate test in any week - but we expect them to play,” Voss said.

Should Williams play, it’ll be his 50th game in his boyhood Navy Blue.

Joining them are Alex Cincotta and Orazio Fantasia, with the pair potentially in store for their first games of the 2025 season after recent returns for the Carlton Reserves.

Rounding out the inclusions is Hudson O’Keeffe, with the young ruck/forward named in the squad for the second time in three weeks after being emergency against Sydney a fortnight ago.

Coming out of the side are Harry O’Farrell and Lewis Young, who have been omitted.

Carlton will trim its squad to a team of 23 on Friday at 5pm.
