THE CARLTON Reserves have named a revamped team for today’s clash at Windy Hill against Essendon.
Kicking off a big day of Blues and Bombers action, the VFL Blues have made seven changes which last played a fortnight ago against Williamstown prior to the bye.
Making his first appearance of any kind in Navy Blue will be Flynn Young, with the recruit to get his first taste of the action after crossing from Werribee to Carlton via the AFL Mid-Season Draft.
The Blues will be able to call upon the tall timber of Harry O’Farrell and Lewis Young as well as the running power of Jaxon Binns, who all played for the AFL side against the Giants two weeks ago.
Jordan Boyd returns from the concussion sustained against Sydney, while the experienced Will Hayes and youngster Stirling Phipps-Parsons round out the inclusions.
Initially named in the VFL side, Corey Durdin won’t feature due to AFL emergency commitments.
Alex Cincotta, Orazio Fantasia and AFL debutant Hudson O’Keeffe come out of the side due to their selection in the AFL game, while Liam McMahon will be wearing the red and black of Essendon just two weeks after leading the team out alongside Heath Ramshaw, who will now take on sole captaincy duties.
Kristian Ferronato, Dane Harvey and Ollie Poole round out the changes.
