“I'M REALLY happy to be back.”

Mia Fuller was picked up by the Blues for the 2025 season, previously playing two seasons for Geelong in the VFLW.

Unfortunately, during her first pre-season with the Blues, she sustained an injury, which had her on the sidelines until Round 5.

Despite the setback, she has settled her way into the back five and had a standout game against Casey in Round 7.

“Obviously coming to a new club and then getting injured again, you can feel a bit set back again, but the girls got around me," Fuller said.

“I feel like I was playing to my strengths, I was really happy how I held myself over the ball and composure with the ball in hand and utilised the team around me.

“The group is really coming together, we've been chopping and changing with the AFLW girls going out and a few injuries again, but I reckon we are really starting to gel together and trust our instinct and sort of know what each of our skills are”.

The backliner tallied up 16 disposals, 10 kicks and five tackles in the Round 7 clash, establishing herself as a key defender in the side.

Not only is she settling in post-injury, but she has set a few of her own goals since arriving at IKON Park.

“I would love to kick a goal," she admitted.

“[I want to get] my hands on the footy a bit more and a few more marks would be nice, but just hoping to get a good season out and hopefully stay injury free”.
