Carlton can confirm a further change to its coaching department, with VFL Senior Coach Luke Power set to depart IKON Park having decided to pursue other opportunities.
Power, who has played a pivotal role across the Club’s development and VFL programs, has made the decision to take up another opportunity in order to further round out his coaching experience in the system, after six years of dedicated service at the Blues.
Landing at IKON Park in 2019 as AFL Head of Development, Power then then took on the role of VFL Senior Coach of the Carlton Reserves at the end of 2022.
In charge of nurturing and developing emerging talent at the Blues, Power was named the AFL Coaches Association’s Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021.
“We would like to thank Luke for his commitment and contribution during his past six years at the Blues,” Carlton Acting GM of Football Len Villani said.
“His advancement of our standalone VFL program, along with our development pathway, has our club well established in this regard, and that is significantly due to the tireless efforts of Luke over many years.
"Luke is a great football person, and is highly regarded across the football department and throughout the Club, which is a testament to the way he carries himself as a person.”
“We will continue to work through the makeup of our 2026 AFL coaching structure, and will provide you all with further updates throughout the off season period.”
