Checking in from South America, new Blues Ollie Florent and Will Hayward wasted very little time when it came to checking in with their new fans.

Best mates ever since they were drafted together in 2016, the duo’s 10th season in the AFL will come in the Navy Blue following a pair of deadline day deals between Carlton and Sydney.

Their careers have been in sync, with each registering 184 games including nine finals (two of those Grand Finals) at the Swans, as they now link up with not only each other, but also former teammates George Hewett and Nic Newman.

“It was pretty stressful there for a bit, but I’m feeling such a high level of support from the Club. I’m really excited to work under ‘Vossy’, ‘Crippa’ and the rest of the leadership team there at the Blues,” Hayward said.

“The Club is going in such an exciting direction. I’m pumped to be playing in front of the fans, they seem so passionate and I know they’re going to give us a big lift next year,” Florent added.
