RALPH Carr has resigned as a director of the Carlton Football Club. Carr confirmed the tough decision was made due to the ever-increasing demands of his successful management company, Ralph Carr Management.

“My business demands continue to grow and I am finding there is not enough hours in my day to be able to devote the necessary time to the Board and the Club,” Carr said.

Carr was appointed to the Board in December 2006 and elected by the by the members in February 2007.

“It has been an honour to serve the Carlton Football Club as a director and I sincerely thank the Carlton members for giving me the opportunity and for being so supportive over the last two years’” added Carr.

While stepping down from the board, Carr has confirmed he will continue to provide assistance to the Club where he can. A life-time supporter of the Blues he said he will always remain a strong supporter and is looking forward to continuing as a sponsor and supporter of the Club.

“Being on the Board has been a wonderful experience and I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to work with fellow directors at Carlton. In particular Richard Pratt and Stephen Kernahan, who have been the President’s since I was elected in February last year.

“I am fortunate to have been involved with the Club that I love and proud to have been working with the team that has been a driving force in the resurgence of the Carlton Football Club.”
