BRENDON Bolton provided an update on Charlie Curnow, after the star forward went down early in the Round 2 clash against Port Adelaide.

Competing in a contest late in the first quarter, Curnow clutched at his right knee and didn’t take any further part in the match.

Bolton told media post-match that Curnow had jarred his knee in the incident, and the Club had decided to take a cautious approach.

“He’s got a jarred knee — twisted and jarred it,” Bolton said.

“They were debating whether or not he’d come on again. We didn’t want to take the risk with someone like that.”

Bolton said the Blues remained hopeful that he would available for next week’s home clash against Sydney.

“We’re really hopeful it’s nothing significant and he’s right next week,” he said.

“We need to get it scanned and we’ll find out.”

Carlton returns to Marvel Stadium next Saturday 6 April to take on the Swans.
