AN AFLW journey defined by persistence will tick off a significant milestone this weekend.

Nell Morris-Dalton will play her 50th AFLW game, achieving the career landmark at her third club when Carlton takes on the Brisbane Lions on Saturday.

Starting out as a first-round draft pick at the Western Bulldogs, the key forward moved to Collingwood before eventually finding a home at Carlton, where she has flourished in 2026.

Looking to reclaim her love of the game after being delisted by the Pies, Morris-Dalton initially signed for the Blues’ VFLW program led by Aasta O’Connor, before becoming the last player signed to the Carlton list as an injury replacement player.

She made her Carlton debut just 10 days after being signed and hasn’t missed a beat since then, playing every game and being the Blues’ leading goalkicker so for this season with one game to play.

Originally drafted at the Northern Knights with links to Fitzroy and the Darebin Falcons, Morris-Dalton has taken to life on Royal Parade very quickly, bringing not only her forward craft on the field but also an abundance of energy off it.

Speaking recently on the Word on the Hill podcast, Morris-Dalton outlined her gratitude for the Blues in the lead-up to this week’s 50th game.

“Look where I ended up. It’s really great,” Morris-Dalton said.

“I’m having a great time with my footy again. I love this Club, I love my new friends here and I’m so much happier.

“It’s so nice to be in this place with my footy, because I really didn’t think I could get there - even if you asked me three months ago.”
