THE Carlton Football Club is honoured to have once again partnered with e.motion21 to celebrate World Down syndrome Day.

This year, e.motion21 are bringing their Swiss balls and electric energy to the MCG. Participants will showcase a BeatFitTM performance that will captivate the hearts and minds of the Carlton fans at the game.

Carlton Football Club CEO Cain Liddle said all involved with the Club were delighted to be partnering with e.motion21 for the season opener.

“On behalf of the Club, we are delighted that our players and supporters will proactively showcase inclusion during our Round 1 game against Richmond at the MCG,” Liddle said.

“Our players will run through a Guard of ‘Down syndrome’ Honour, setting the scene for inclusion and highlighting shared values of the Carlton Football Club.

“At the same time, the Club has also provided complimentary tickets for e.motion21 families and friends to join us at the MCG to watch the match."

On Thursday night there will be a ‘Guard of Honour’ on the ground, which will include young members of e.motion21 as a stand for inclusion and showcase the capacity of people living with Down syndrome.

Carlton forward Patrick Kerr is looking forward to having e.motion21 at the season opener on Thursday night.

“E.motion21 do outstanding work for so many children and young adults with Down syndrome,” Kerr said.

“World Down Syndrome day is special because it brings to the forefront the fact that people with Down syndrome are capable of just as many remarkable things as anyone else.

“As a club, we are really proud to support it and look forward to seeing their performance on Thursday night.”
