WHILE the AFL side may be in Perth this weekend, there’s still plenty of action for Victorian Bluebaggers.

And Carlton Media is once again bringing it to you live.

The VFLW and VFL double-header will be big opportunities for the respective Blues to kick off a vital run in the second half of the season.

Northern sits just outside the top eight with one less game played compared to its counterparts, while the chance to build on the momentum of a fortnight ago presents itself to Carlton.

Here’s everything you need to know for the Round 8 VFLW and Round 13 VFL clashes.

TEAM NEWS

One player who won’t feature for Carlton at the weekend will be Jess Hosking: the tough defender was ruled out with a one-match suspension following the Round 7 win. With the likes of Madison Prespakis and Abbie McKay starring in recent weeks, there’s plenty to be excited by after the breakthrough victory.

Josh Deluca is likely to make his debut in Blue, with the mid-season rookie acquisition named fit for the first time since his arrival at Ikon Park. With 17 Carlton-listed players featuring in Northern’s last game, they’ll be keen for a big response and a return to winning ways ahead of a crucial second half of the season.

Both squads will be announced on Thursday night.
