JARROD Pickett and Alex Silvagni are among the Northern Blues’ inclusions who will play their first games of the season.

The pair are among nine inclusions to the Bertocchi squad, the majority of which will return after lengthy injury layoffs.

It will be Pickett’s first game since the final JLT Series game against Hawthorn after a fractured scaphoid, while Silvagni will front up for his first hit-out since a VFL practice match in March.

They are joined by Irishman Cillian McDaid and the Northern Knights’ Joel Naylor, who will make their VFL debuts.

Also returning from over a month out of action are Carlton youngsters Matthew Kennedy and Kym Lebois.

Jarrod Garlett and Andrew Phillips are also named after missing the clash with Geelong a fortnight ago, as is Cameron O’Shea following his omission from the AFL side.

Nick Graham has been called up to the AFL side, while Harry McKay will miss due to illness. Fraser Pearce is also out because of a knee injury, while there are four omissions.
