WITH the Blues’ latest crop of draftees unveiled at Ikon Park on Wednesday, Carlton Football Club announced a new ball partnership with Australian-owned company Grunt.

The Grunt logo will appear on Carlton’s match-day footballs for the Club’s home games across the 2018 and 2019 AFL seasons. Australian cricket legend Merv Hughes, an ambassador for the Victorian-based company, was also on hand to announce the partnership at Princes Park.

Grunt has previously been the major partner for the Club’s Northern Blues VFL program since 2012.

Grunt manufactures products including ropes, tie downs, cords, trade and film clean up bags and flat straps, working with major retailer Bunnings Warehouse.

Carlton CEO Cain Liddle welcomed the extended partnership between Grunt and the Carlton Football Club.

“Grunt will now become a platinum partner of our football club, and we’re particularly grateful to Managing Director Bill Nagel and his team for their continued support of the Blues, both from a VFL and now AFL level,” Liddle said.

“Grunt has been associated with the Club for a number of years now and we look forward to continuing that strong partnership over at least the next two years.”

Grunt Managing Director Bill Nagel said the partnership between both organisations was a natural alignment.

“We’re extremely proud to be the new ball partner of Carlton and excited by the positive trajectory the Club is on. Nothing’s tougher than Grunt and Carlton is all about Grunt – we think it’s a perfect fit,” Nagel said.
