Carlton vice-captain Michael Jamison is a strong chance to line up against Fremantle this weekend.

Jamison left the ground with concussion early in the Blues’ Round 14 match against Richmond.

Head of Football Andrew McKay says all the signs are positive.

“He (Jamison) was still quite sore Saturday and Sunday, but certainly yesterday he felt a whole lot better,” McKay said.

“He’ll do the normal concussion tests throughout the week and as long as they improve, and as long as he passes those by the end of the week, then we’ll test him physically as well.

“If he can get through all those tests then he will be available to play.”

Meanwhile Sam Docherty looks set to return from his hamstring strain. McKay says the No. 15 would likely have played last week were it not for the six-day turnaround.

However Andrew Walker has been ruled out for another week with his niggling knee.

The Blues will also be without Bryce Gibbs and Dennis Armfield for the match after both players had surgery yesterday.

Gibbs had surgery to repair a strained pectoral muscle, while Armfield had a plate inserted in his broken arm. It will sideline Gibbs for the rest of the season while Armfield remains a chance to return in four to five weeks.
