Carlton coach Brett Ratten has swung the axe ahead of the team's Round 14 match against Fremantle at Subiaco Oval on Sunday.

The Blues have omitted Jordan Bannister, Steven Browne, Nick Stevens and Heath Scotland, with Paul Bower to miss the match through injury.

Ratten has included eight players in the squad from which the final team will be selected -  Joe Anderson, Greg Bentley, Cameron Cloke, Jeff Garlett, Chris Johnson, Bret Thornton, Jordan Russell and Chris Yarran.

While Garlett, Thornton and Russell are all certain of selection in the final team, Anderson, Bentley, Cloke, Johnson and Yarran have been named on the extended interchange.

Carlton will join forces with the Lance Armstrong Foundation on Sunday to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer. The Blues will wear Yellow guernseys during the Fremantle. The guernseys will be auctioned post-match via http://www.nikestore.com.au/, with all funds raised shared evenly between the Lance Armstrong Foundation and Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.
